Nepal is located between India, Tibet and China and the architecture show influences from all off these three cultures.
Bhaktapur is one of three medieval city-states of Kathmandu Valley, the other two is Kathmandu and Patan. I stayed in Bhaktapur end visited Kathmandu for one day.
These cities has the most spectacular ancient Nepal architecture in its temples, palaces and monasteries, sadly so much got destroyed or got severe damages during the earthquake 2015
Everywhere I saw locals and different help organizations do what they could to help with the rebuilding of Nepal after the earthquake.

Other amazing buildings. Many were prayer places for different Buddhist and Hindu gods.
